Safety
Are MEGA BLOKS safe for toddlers?
Big blocks are made for small children, but a few simple habits keep play safe. Here is what to check and what to keep apart.

Read the age label first
Every set carries an age label: 1+, 1½+, 3+ or, for collector builds, an older age. The label reflects the pieces in that box. Buy for the age your child is now, and check each new set before it joins the pile.
Big blocks and small pieces
Our First Builders blocks are deliberately large, which is one reason they suit young children. Our MEGA collector builds, on the other hand, contain small pieces and are meant for adults and older fans. Keep them on a high shelf, in a separate box, and build them when little ones are asleep.
Check the collection now and then
Blocks get thrown, chewed and stood on. Every so often, look through the pile for cracked or damaged pieces and take them out of play. It is a two-minute job that is easy to do while tidying up.
Keep them clean
Blocks that live on the floor collect crumbs and sticky fingerprints. Our washing and storing note covers a simple hand-wash routine.
Stay close
Young children should always play with toys under adult supervision. Building together is also the best part of block play.
